The CAN ULC-S652-2016-REV1 2019 standard outlines the minimum requirements for tanks or tank assemblies used for the collection, storage, and removal of used oil.
The standard acknowledges that the installation and use of these tank assemblies may be subject to additional requirements set by the authority having jurisdiction. These additional requirements may include, but are not limited to, the National Fire Code of Canada, Part 4; CSA B139, Installation code for oil-burning equipment; and CCME PN 1326, Environmental Code of Practice for Aboveground and Underground Storage Tank Systems Containing Petroleum and Allied Petroleum Products.
