Standard EN SampleSafety Containers
Also Known As:
The ULC ORD-C30-95 standard outlines the requirements for portable safety containers used for the storage and handling of small quantities of flammable and combustible liquids. These containers are designed to hold up to 25 liters of substances such as gasoline, fuel oil, or similar products with a relative density not exceeding 1.0. The standard specifies that these containers should be used in accordance with the National Fire Code of Canada, Part 4, as well as any applicable regulations set by the Authority Having Jurisdiction.
The standard classifies safety containers into two types: Type I and Type II. Type I safety containers are built with a short valved spout that can be adapted for both pouring and filling purposes. On the other hand, Type II safety containers are equipped with a flexible or rigid tubular nozzle attached to a valved spout, allowing for pouring only. Type II safety containers may also be referred to as "Supply Cans" or "Filling Cans". It is important to note that this standard was published on April 30, 1995.
