UL 430:2021 PDF Download

The UL 430:2021 standard provides requirements for motor operated household and commercial disposers rated 600V or less. These disposers are designed to convert organic waste materials into a form that can be accommodated by plumbing systems. The standard includes regulations for field-installed control assemblies and accessories that are specifically intended for use with the covered disposers.

Additionally, the standard also covers rechargeable battery-powered appliances that have either non-user-replaceable or user-replaceable batteries. For more details on these appliances, a supplementary document called "Supplement SC" is provided.

However, it's important to note that the UL 430:2021 standard does not apply to incinerator-type disposers or disposers that use a universal motor with a rating higher than 250 V. These types of disposers are not within the scope of this standard.
