The 2021 edition of NFPA 921 incorporates significant changes, including the relocation of fire pattern text into Chapter 6, the restructuring and rewriting of Chapter 6 to combine fire patterns and arc-mapping as a single process of origin determination, the deletion of Chapter 20 and its integration into Chapter 19, the revision and addition of information on ignitable liquid detection canines (IGL canines), and the substantial rewrite of Chapter 14 in relation to non-scene data.
