ISO 14120:2015 is a standard that sets out general requirements for the design and construction of guards used to protect individuals from mechanical hazards. It applies to guards on machinery that will be manufactured after the publication of this standard. The requirements in this standard are applicable to both fixed and movable guards, but it does not cover interlocking devices, which are addressed in ISO 14119.
It is important to note that ISO 14120:2015 does not provide requirements for special systems such as ROPS, FOPS, or TOPS, which are specifically related to mobility, nor does it address the ability of machinery to lift loads.
